AFLW has released a new publicity campaign ahead of their third ever grand final on Sunday 31 March.
In the lead-up to Sunday’s NAB AFLW Grand Final, some of the biggest names in Australia have been practice their kicks, including comedian Dave Hughes, Sport Australia CEO Kate Palmer, Olympians Lauren Jackson and Giaan Rooney and Geelong superstar Patrick Dangerfield.
Carlton forward Tayla Harris was thrust into the media spotlight when sexist and vulgar comments were left on 7’s AFLW twitter page under a picture of her mid-kick.
7AFLW came under fire after deleting the post altogether rather than addressing the derogatory comments.
The AFLW campaign aims to see the multiple Australian personalities try to emulate the now iconic kick by Harris.
Shot by the talent themselves, see below to see the final outcome of them all together!
At B&T, we believe initiatives like this can shape and influence culture. That’s one of the reasons we created Changing the Ratio, Australia’s diversity and inclusion conference for the advertising industry. Check out the 2019 schedule today.
