Lisa Wilkinson Has Packed Her Bags & Is Covering The Queen’s Death From The UK

Lisa Wilkinson has been whisked away from The Project Desk and has headed off to The United Kingdom to cover the Queen’s death.

The Project’s Wilkinson isn’t a stranger to heading overseas to grab the big stories. She was just in America doing reports for the news show after her infamous Logies fallout.

These days, if a Project host has to head off on an assignment, that host will be Wilkinson. Now, Wilkinson is in England, and she’s already sharing her candid thoughts on the fallout from The Queen’s death.

Basically, all The Royals are being ushered into new roles, and Wilkinson is on the frontlines reporting on it.

During a cross with UK correspondent Lucy McDonald outside Windsor Castle, Wilkinson discussed how she felt King Charle’s wife Camilla looked nervous during the first-ever televised proclamation ceremony.

Wilkinson said: “Camilla looked a little bit nervous during that proclamation ceremony yesterday. Did you notice that, or was that just me?”

McDonald agreed, and joked that Camilla looked “like she wanted to go home and have a cup of tea or a glass of sherry”.

“Well that would be absolutely understandable,” Wilkinson quipped back.

Honestly, it’s hard not to love such relatable coverage.
