Arnold Schwarzenegger Once Again Delivers Comedy Gold For BMW’s Super Bowl Teaser

Arnold Schwarzenegger has been many things in his illustrious career – Mr Olympia, governor of California and time travelling lab rat of Skynet.

However, for his latest role in a very distinguished career, the 74-year-old Hollywood legend plays the famous Greek god of thunder, Zeus.

German car marque BMW has enlisted Arnie for its 2022 Super Bowl work to promote its electric vehicle range.

A 40-second teaser for the ad has dropped overnight, with the full ad to be aired during the Super Bowl on February 13. The spot’s the work of San Francisco creative agency Goodby Silverstein & Partners.

According to reports, the final ad will also star Salma Hayek Pinault, who will play the role of Hera, which according to Greek mythology is the wife of Zeus and goddess of marriage. The 60-second spot will run in the first quarter of the game.

The spot again shows Arnie is as much a master of comedy as he is at action, while not giving too much away at all.

Called “Something electric is brewing” it finishes with the rather vague tag of “February 13, 2022” alongside the carmaker’s famous logo and a clap of lightning.

The ad signals BMW’s return to the Super Bowl after a seven-year absence. Check out the fun work below:

The work also includes a social media campaign that had many confused for an upcoming Arnie movie. Check out the poster below:
