Sunday TV Wrap: Entertainment Is Back, Baby, As The Block & The Voice Both Score Over A Million

There were whoppers nights for both The Block and The Voice, with both shows scoring over a million viewers as per OzTAM’s metro data.

Sunday night was The Voice’s semi-final, netting 1,088,000 viewers. It narrowly beat The Block’s 1,032,000 viewers. The ep featured a basement reveal, after a week embroiled in cheating drama.

Australian Survivor fared less well at 689,000 viewers, with the final scheduled for next Sunday evening, where it will be competing against The Voice’s final.

On top overall was Seven News with 1,139,000 viewers, followed by Nine News with 1,112,000. ABC News was next with 653,000 while 60 Minutes had 581,000.

Cheery Sunday night favourite, Homicide: With Ron Iddles, continued to perform well for Seven with 567,000 viewers. The network also had Seven News At 5 with 341,000 viewers and a repeat of Border Security with 290,000.

10’s The Sunday Project had 472,000 viewers, while 10 News First had 361,000 and FBI had 290,000.

On the ABC, it was a morning episode of Bluey that performed best after the news, scoring 459,000 viewers.

The Newsreader also continued a solid run with 444,000 viewers, as did the second ep of David Attenborough’s Global Adventure, which had 352,000. Finally, Insiders had 309,000 viewers.

For Nine, the late news had 356,000 viewers and the Bledisloe Cup had 339,000, where the All Blacks crushed the Wallabies.

In terms of the daily share, the Seven Network came top of the night with 33.7 per cent. Next was the Nine Network with 29.8 per cent, then Network 10 with 17.4 per cent.

The ABC TV Network had 13.2 per cent of the share while the SBS Network had 5.8 per cent.
