Social media is a dangerous game, and when brands hop on board and try to play, sometimes the results aren’t exactly what you’d expect – or want for that matter. Today is no exception, with KFC Australia tweeting out a very unexpected promo.

This morning, the fast food chain down under tweeted the following cringeworthy photo, with the caption, “Something hot and spicy is coming soon”.

The promo picture is nothing short of raunchy, and Twitter wasted no time sharing its opinion on it, retweeting it 1300 times. KFC Australia has since deleted it, but the internet is forever and so people everywhere are keeping the joke alive.

Are you fucking serious? Nice job, this totally hasn’t set back women 50 years. @KFCAustralia @TheGingerarchy

@KFCAustralia anyone looking for a job in social media, looks like KFC will be advertising a new role very soon.
