Heineken has released a new campaign in an effort to keep consumers drinking its beers during the current coronavirus crisis.
The ad, created by Publicis Brazil, is set to Simple Minds’ Don’t You (Forget About Me) track, along with the tagline to ‘pay for a beer now, enjoy it later’.
The campaign spells out the lyrics to the song with stills from empty bars.
The project is set to launch in around 20 global markets, starting with Brazil. Heineken fans can buy a beer at a website, to drink it later at their favorite bar. Heineken will match each purchase of beer with a donation to the bar.

The ad follows Heneiken’s recent drop in sales in the first quarter due to the coronavirus pandemic while warning the second quarter would be worse.
