Eventbrite Appoints Josh McNicol As APAC GM
Global ticketing and technology company Eventbrite today announced the appointment of Josh McNicol to the role of general manager, Asia Pacific, in a move that the company says underscores its commitment to continued growth in the Asia Pacific region.
In this role, Josh will direct a growing team of more than 40 APAC staff responsible for serving more than 60,000 event creators and processing more than 17 million tickets to more than 330,000 events in Asia Pacific in 2018.
Josh brings to the role over 13 years’ experience building teams and driving innovative marketing strategy at local and global technology brands including Square and Temple & Webster. At Square, Josh established and led teams working across marketing and acquisition, brand, and strategy both in Australia and in San Francisco, where he led Square’s global brand marketing team.
“In joining Eventbrite at the beginning of this year, I was immediately inspired by the company’s mission — to bring the world together through live experiences. We’re doing this by connecting an underserved market with world-class technology that helps event creators run and grow their events – and their businesses,” McNicol said.
“Events and live experiences offer people the unique opportunity to create memories, build community, and connect with the world around them. In this new role, I’m excited to have the opportunity to help people throughout Asia Pacific create and discover even more live experiences that excite and inspire them.”
The appointment is effective immediately.
