The AFL has announced the launch of a new podcast, League Leaders, a podcast created to tell the stories of the incredible women in the AFL industry.
Driven by thought-provoking conversation, the six-episode series will share the journeys of the women championing our sport, leading the business and industry success and sharing their advice to enable other women in our industry to thrive.
The podcast aims to champion the women behind football.
Hosted by AFL’s general manager women’s Football Nicole Livingstone, League Leaders will tell the stories of the women in the AFL in ways you’ve never heard before.
Livingston, said: “I was so thrilled to host the League Leaders podcast series. Across the six episodes, listeners will get an understanding of what it really is like to work in such varied roles within the AFL industry, from the women who have led and delivered some of our game’s biggest moments.
“The podcast includes episodes speaking with club presidents, club directors, AFL Executives and more. I can’t wait to share these conversations with our community.”
AFL Executive general manager of people Sarah Fair, said: “We learn about their inspiring stories – their diverse backgrounds, career pathways and experiences working within the industry.
“There are so many amazing women in our industry and the podcast provides fascinating insight and a ‘behind the scenes’ take on their experiences working in one of the highest-profile industries in the country.”
The League Leaders podcast series will be released fortnightly beginning Monday, August 16 until October 25 2021.
The League Leaders podcast will be available on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
