Thursday TV Ratings: England Recklessly “Throw Away” Wickets In Second Test Match

Despite getting off to a good start in the second test match of the Ashes yesterday, the England cricket team seemed to throw away its comeback bid – letting three wickets slip.

The results of the game left  England on 278-4 just 138 behind Australia’s 416.

A total of 732,000 metro viewers signed up to watch the nail-biting game – making it the top entertainment show of yesterday.

The only other entertainment show to make it into the top 10 was Seven’s The Chase which had 516,000 metro viewers.

Nine’s Hot Seat had 391,000 viewers and Network 10’s MasterChef  had 380,000 metro viewers.

Overall, Nine won the night with 38.8 per cent of views, Seven had 24.9 per cent of views, Network 10 had 14.3 per cent of views, the ABC had 13.8 per cent and SBS had 8.2 per cent.
