The Ashes were the clear winner last night as cricket fans signed up to watch England vs Australia.
More than 792,000 metro viewers signed up to watch the second Ashes test on Nine last night. It was not all clear sailing, however, as two Just Stop Oil protestors stormed the match at Lords.
Thankfully, English cricketer, Jonny Bairstow was on hand to save the day. He was seen carrying one of the men off the pitch.
Meanwhile, advertising panel show Gruen, made it into the top 10 with 532,000 metro viewers signing up to watch the show on ABC. This was markedly up on the 436,000 metro viewers whom watched the first episode of the season last week.
The ABC’s Utopia also continues to be popular with fans – a total of 590,000 viewers signed up to watch the government-themed show last night.
Seven’s The Chase pulled in 567,000 viewers last night.
Overall, Nine won the night with 37.9 per cent of views, followed by Seven with 22.3 per cent of views, the ABC with 17.1 per cent of views, Network 10 with 15.5 per cent of views and SBS with 7.2 per cent of views.
