English Premier League’s Incumbent Creative Partner Pulls Out Of Repitch

FCB Inferno, the English Premier League’s incumbent creative agency, has pulled out of the pitching process to pursue other opportunities.

“The Premier League is a great brand and FCB Inferno have worked with them for the last three years,” said Owen Lee, chief creative officer at FCB Inferno.

“We are both extremely proud of the work we have done together on a number of important campaigns including ‘No room for racism’ and their 30th-year anniversary.”

Lee added: “The decision not to repitch is due to other opportunities we would like to pursue. We wish the Premier League and their new agency the very best for the future.”

FCB Inferno, a subsidiary of Interpublic, won the account in 2019, taking over from VMLY&R which held the account for three years.

The Premier League declined to comment to Campaign on the story.

In mid-December the pitching process was reportedly at the stage of chemistry matching.
