Kate Ritchie Avoids Nova Chop & Returns To Radio Following DUI Fallout

Kate Ritchie has put the rumours to rest by announcing her return to Nova’s drive show, Kate, Tim and Joel.

Rumours that Ritchie may not return to the show after some planned annual leave swirled after Ritchie was fined for a DUI during her break. The loudest rumour was that Ricki Lee was being groomed to replace Ritchie.

Although Nova kindly confirmed to B&T weeks ago that it was not happening, the rumours still swelled. Yes, Ritchie’s absence was planned, but after her run-in with the law, it was easy for gossip sites to run rampant with the idea that Ritchie was being canned.

Who can replace Ritchie, though? She won everyone over on Home & Away, and Australia never looked back.

Thankfully, Ritchie took to her Instagram to share a photo of herself with her Nova co-hosts Joel Creasy and Tim Blackwell and wrote, “Back with the gang on set today!”

Creasy commented, “Love you and can’t wait to have bants with you!”

Ritchie has apologised for her DUI, and it has been reported that her license has been suspended for three months. Thankfully, the fact she can’t drive won’t stop her from hosting Nova’s drive slot. Phew!
