Nova has confirmed that Kate Ritchie won’t be going anywhere!

Rumours have been swirling that singer Ricki Lee will be replacing Kate Richie in Nova’s drive show Kate, Tim & Joel.

However, Nova has confirmed to B&T that Ritchie is staying put. Yes, everyone’s favourite Home And Away lady, is not going away.

A Nova spokesperson told B&T, “Whilst we don’t usually comment on this type of unfounded speculation, or confirm our presenter line up for 2023, we have no plans for any changes to the Kate, Tim & Joel drive show or Kate’s role within the show.

Kate is currently on planned leave and has been for the past few weeks. After the survey break, she will return to the Kate, Tim & Joel show.

“Kate is a talented broadcaster and a respected member of the Kate, Tim & Joel and Nova Network team.”

The rumours come after Richie was fined for a DUI. She has since apologised via Instagram, lost her license, and been fined. Basically, Richie is likely not having the best week.

Of course, anyone that works in media knows! When it rains, it pours, so naturally, as Richie has to deal with the press from a DUI, she’s now dealing with rumours she’ll be off the airwaves.

Something we are happy to report is not true. Nova has put the rumours to rest, and Richie will be staying in her drive slot. She just won’t be driving any cars.
