Champion Launches YouTube Campaign Challenging Aussies To Leave Their Comfort Zones

Global streetwear label, Champion, has levelled up its YouTube game with the launch of ‘Champion Of’ – a six-part mini-series encouraging Aussie and New Zealand creatives to step outside their comfort zones, unleashing their inner Champions.

The mini-series hero’s six emerging artists and delivers many laughs and entertainment in between raw and candid moments. Unguarded, unmediated, and unscripted, the up-and-comers headlining include Melbourne-based rapper Srirachi (AUS), dancehall rising star Gold Fang (AUS), Melbourne rap squad 3K (AUS), pop and R&B singer Reyanna Maria (AUS), 18-year-old vocal prince Sahxl (AUS), and reggae artist Rubi Du (NZ).

Dropping fortnightly, each bite-sized episode will follow the journey of one artist as they partner up with an expert to mentor and encourage them to embrace the unknown and harness a new skill. From magic to skateboarding, origami and ironing, viewers are in for a wild ride as they are given an exclusive backstage pass into the personalities and quirks of the next gen of local entertainers.

Kicking off episode one, Sydney-based Gold Fang enchants viewers with internationally renowned magician, Tim Ellis. Growing up in Trinidad and Tobago, the 25-year-old versatile artist has long been fascinated with the concept of magic. Throughout the clip, viewers will be mesmerized as Gold Fang swaps the microphone for a deck of cards – the result must be seen to be believed!

Episode two showcases Melbourne-born performer Reyanna Maria, as she learns how to master a skateboard with self-taught skater, Tegan Ryan. As a child, the ‘So Pretty’ singer would watch in awe as other kids carved up their local skateparks, but never had the courage to join them. In just under eight minutes, she finally builds up the courage to face her fears and learns how to ‘ollie’ (the hard way). Will she nail it or stack it? Fans will have to tune in to find out.

“Champion Of marks a new chapter in the evolution of the brand across Australia and New Zealand. We wanted to provide a platform for local artists to further build their fanbase and connect with new audiences by getting outside of their comfort zones and letting their personalities shine,” said Rory O’Halloran, brand manager, Champion AUS NZ. “It’s authentic, fun, and oh-so engaging. We can’t wait to hear what local audiences think.”

The brand has long been committed to supporting local and emerging artists, shining a light on their journeys, and spotlighting their craft. Every challenge and every new experience endured is an opportunity to take oneself to a higher place. Designed for everybody, Champion transcends the gym, the studio or the street, Champion is for the love of your craft, whatever you choose.

Champion Of is now streaming on YouTube with new episodes every fortnight.
