GroupM Promotes Brett Poole To CEO Of Finecast APAC & AUNZ

GroupM has announced the promotion of Brett Poole (pictured) to CEO of Finecast APAC & AUNZ as part of a slew of recent leadership fills.

The promotion from managing director to CEO is a testament to Brett’s successful leadership of Finecast locally and the impressive growth he has driven for the addressable TV company. Brett will maintain his position leading Finecast in Australia and take on additional oversight of the region.

With over two decades of experience in product development, tech commercialisation, publishing and advertising platforms, Brett has launched and built profitable businesses across native advertising (plista), data tech (mPLATFORM), programmatic trading (Xaxis), and most recently, spearheaded television transformation in Australia where his team grew the Finecast brand to become synonymous with Addressable TV and TV innovation.

On his appointment, Brett Poole said: “I’m thrilled to be given the opportunity to continue growing Finecast across APAC as part of GroupM Nexus. Television is experiencing tremendous metamorphosis throughout the world and there is huge potential to further our TV transformation efforts in APAC which is well-known for its diversity, talent and innovative spirit – all the things that are close to my heart. I look forward to working closely with Nexus APAC leaders to build on the outstanding work of our Finecast APAC team.”

Highly respected as a vanguard in launching new business/product/technology in the region, Brett is passionate about building high performance teams that celebrate diversity, equity and inclusion, and ensuring GroupM agencies have access to the very best people, products and solutions. Brett will be reporting to Nicola Lewis, Global CEO of Finecast and Arshan Saha, CEO of GroupM Nexus APAC (formerly CEO of Xaxis & Specialty Businesses APAC).

Finecast launched in Australia in 2018, and it was the first global market to launch after the UK. Under his stewardship, Finecast has grown from a tech startup, to a scaled and successful media tech business. Finecast has been at the forefront of the discipline helping futureproof the Australian Broadcast industry and driving innovation such as the Finecast Universal ID, and most recently introducing Header Bidding to Addressable TV.
