“The Level Of Trolling!” Leigh Sales Opens Up About Departing 7.30

Earlier this year journo, Leigh Sales (main photo) announced she would be leaving ABC’s 7.30 and now she’s given more insight into why.

Accordinng to news.com.au, Sales told Stellar, “People have reported that I left because there was an interview with Scott Morrison and then I was abused. But I was abused (online) all the time, so actually that had nothing to do with it.

“I just decided to jump off before the election because I thought the level of the trolling would ramp right up.”

However, Sales did admit that the online trolling did, “Took a really hard toll on people close to me.”

Of course, it’s pretty understandable why online trolling would take it’s toll, it’s no secret that for some reason female journalists do seem to bare the brunt of rentlessly online trolling, even someone as successful as Sales.

Ironically, even Sales opening up about being trolled has lead to people trolling her about that. Proving that she really can’t win.

Sarah Ferguson will be taking over Sales role on 7.30.

Here at B&T, we can’t wait to see what Sales does next.
