Brittany Hockley & Laura Bryne’s Podcast Life Uncut Heads To Radio

ARN has announced Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne (featured image) of the popular Life Uncut podcast will be joining KIIS as part of the network’s new ‘Podcast to Broadcast Strategy’.

The Life Uncut Radio Show will be the first program to debut in an effort by the KIIS Network to add more premium content offerings to its growing Saturday listenership.

“The big secret is out, Life Uncut does radio!” Co-host, Laura Byrne said. “For the past two years Britt and I have been behind the mics in our bedrooms and now we’ll be in your ears every Saturday morning with KIIS.

“It’s going to be a lot of fun, and we can’t wait to have a laugh and share some wild stories with KIIS listeners.”

Brittany Hockley shared her co-host’s enthusiasm.

“I am beyond excited for the launch of Life Uncut Radio Show!” She said. “There is nothing we love more than a solid yarn, sharing embarrassing stories, chatting to inspirational people and bringing the lols.

“We are so proud of what we have created and to be able to take it to a whole new level with a national radio show, allowing us to connect with a whole new bunch of awesome humans.”

Mitch Churi, will also be joining the ladies. Churi said: “When I was asked to work on the show with Britt and Laura, my first thought was ‘this will be a great way to become best friends with Matty J.

“That aside, Life Uncut has had monumental success in the podcasting space and I’m so excited to be a part of their cross over into radio. I’m hoping I can teach them a little about broadcasting and in return, they will make me bachelor 2022. Fingers crossed.”

ARN’s Chief Content Officer Duncan Campbell said he’d always seen the podcasting market as a talent pool of potential new radio talent.

“Our Podcast to Broadcast Strategy allows us to explore that potential by placing key Podcast talent on radio with their own show,” he added.

“We redefined the school run with the 3pm Pick Up (in 2011) and our next opportunity will introduce content that connects more effectively with our audience on Saturdays.

Life Uncut has been very successful since its 2019 launch, winning ‘Listeners Choice’ at the 2020 Australian Podcast Awards, and being ranked Australia’s #3 most listened-to podcast, with 18m downloads since launching.

Life Uncut Radio Show will begin across all KIIS Network stations – except 96FM – from January 2022.

Campbell said ARN will be announcing more shows for its 2022 Saturday line-up in the coming weeks.
