Mystery shrouds the departure of two of George P. Johnson Australia’s most senior executives.

On Monday, a spokesperson for GPJ confirmed that Caleb Bush, previously managing director of GPJ Australia, and Dean Moore, who was CFO, are no longer employed by the agency.

When asked about the circumstances of Bush and Moore’s exit, B&T was told that GPJ could not comment on the circumstances.

Moore has held the position of CFO since 2015, when he joined the agency after a year as head of finance at Viacom’s MTV in the UK. His LinkedIn profile still lists him as CFO of GPJ.

Bush had worked at GPJ since 2009, rising through the ranks from producer until he was promoted to senior vice president and managing director of Project ANZ in 2019.

Just a month ago, it was announced that he was leaving GPJ Australia for a new role in London as vice president of GPJ Europe. He had been working remotely, with the intention of moving to the UK in 2022.

A source familiar with the situation, but not an employee of the company, confirmed to B&T that APAC CEO Ben Taylor called an all-staff Zoom meeting on Tuesday to announce the departure. The source also claimed that staff have been asked to remain silent regarding the incident, as there is either an investigation or inquiry taking place.

According to the source, all clients have been informed of Bush and Moore’s departure.
