Wednesday TV Wrap: Gruen Pips The Block By Just 25,000 Eyeballs

ABC’s Gruen beat Nine’s The Block by an absolute hair on Wednesday night, beating the home reno show by just 25,000 viewers and taking out the number one entertainment spot for the night, according to OzTAM metro data.

The Block did a decent 762,000, while Gruen did 787,000. Over at Seven, its best for the night was Home and Away with 536,000 tuning in. 10’s The Bachelorette could only muster 487,000.

In terms of primary channel share, Nine won the night with 19.9 per cent, ABC and Seven tied second on 16.9 per cent, 10 did 10.8 per cent and SBS finished on 4.8 per cent.

Here’s how the rest of the night ran:

Nine

News did 868,000, A Current Affair did 692,000, and Hot Seat did 451,000.

Seven

News did 1m, The Chase did 506,000 and Highway Patrol ep one did 397,000 while ep 2 did 372,000.

ABC

Hard Quiz did 688,000, news did 661,000, 7.30 did 623,000, Reputation Rehab did 567,000 and Planet America did 476,000. On ABC Kids, Bluey did 343,000.
