UTS Online Launches Postgraduate Degree To Prepare For The Future Of Digital Marketing
University of Technology Sydney (UTS) Online’s new Master of Digital Marketing is the first degree of its kind in Australia to combine the experience, skills, and strategies of industry-leading digital marketing professionals with UTS’s high calibre of academics, research and technology.
According to Burning Glass Technologies 2020, digital marketing skills are significantly represented in the top five most requested skills by employers for Advertising and Marketing professionals in Australia, appearing in 20.3 percent of 12,561 job listings within the last 12-months to June 2020.
The unique course, delivered by Australia’s number one young university, will provide current marketing professionals with the latest digital marketing and analytics skills needed to develop a data-driven mindset and remain competitive in the evolving digital landscape.
UTS Online Master of Digital Marketing Course Director, Dr David Waller, said there is no doubt that business practice has changed forever, and it is vital for marketing professionals to learn, understand and prepare to be leaders in the online environment.
“This extraordinary shift in online behaviour has forced marketing professionals to quickly pivot and adapt their branding strategies. It’s also meant that interpreting consumer data is now more important than ever before to gain a clearer understanding of new behaviours and customer touch points,” he said.
“Tapping into the changing landscape, we’re excited to offer marketing professionals a comprehensive course that covers strategy, data analytics, emerging technologies and the opportunity to apply skills in a real-world setting by completing a business project,” Dr Waller said.
UTS Online Business School Professor, Louise McElvogue, said the course will equip the next generation of marketing professionals with the connections and tools to establish their credibility and remain at the leading edge of digital technologies.
“Our Master of Digital Marketing is a dynamic degree which combines contemporary leading digital marketing skills, strategies and emerging technologies from industry, with the intellectual rigour, research and talent of the UTS Business School,” she said.
The Master of Digital Marketing is delivered part-time, 100% online and accelerated, allowing students to work full-time while studying and graduate in as little as two years.
Study intakes are offered every two months, with the Master of Digital Marketing due to commence its first study period in September 2020.
