Droga5 Sums Up 2020 In Visually Stunning Campaign For The New York Times

Proving it’s the agency with the Midas touch, Droga5 has unveiled its latest work for The New York Times that is a clever and thought-provoking look at the tribulations of 2020.

The work of Droga5 New York and directed by famed Aussie director Kim Gehrig the spot is the latest work in the newspaper’s ongoing “Truth is Essential” campaign, which aims to emphasise the need for quality, independent journalism.

Set to a soundtrack by jazz musician Makaya McCraven, the ad uses Google searches to play on how The New York Times taps into people’s everyday lives.

Check out the powerful spot below:

It also follows on from B&T’s reporting on Tuesday of a hilarious new campaign out of Droga5’s London office for Setapp, a Ukrainian-based subscription service that provides access to 190-plus creative, productivity and maintenance apps for Macs, iPhones and iPads to help users complete any task. Have a laugh by checking out that work here.
