Rdio, one of the top streaming music services in the world, is excited to announce an exclusive integrated partnership with News Corp Australia. A first of its kind for Rdio locally, the partnership will see Australia’s leading media company share the opportunity to access Rdio’s extensive music library and leading streaming technology with digital subscribers through its +Rewards program.

Aligned in their commitment to enabling digital discovery, the partnership will see eligible digital subscribers to News Corp Australia offered a six-month complimentary subscription to Rdio’s Unlimited service, allowing them web, mobile and offline access to a massive catalogue of over 25 million songs and the ability to start a custom station.

News Corp Australia group director of marketing Damian Eales said: “Rdio provides a fantastic service that our customers will love. It's exactly what +Rewards is all about – great experiences and unbelievable value. There is immense potential in this partnership and I am looking forward to working with the team in developing further offerings highlighting the best both companies have to offer.”

As part of an integrated partnership, News Corp Australia’s most influential journalists will also be creating exclusive Rdio profiles and playlists for subscribers to enjoy and follow via Rdio. This component of the partnership allows News Corp Australia’s members to keep up to date with the latest recommendations as provided by esteemed music writers from the leading news source.

“We are proud to be partnering with News Corp Australia in this exciting new initiative,” said Colin Blake, Rdio’s Head of Territory Australia & New Zealand.

“At Rdio we are as passionate about delivering new and relevant content to our users as News Corp Australia is with its subscribers. This partnership allows us to not only broaden the reach of our service, but also share the influence of music with News Corp Australia’s digital following.”

To be eligible for this promotion, users must simply become a member of News Corp Australia’s +Rewards program.
