Comedian Julia Morris is once again spicing up the home loan industry in the latest campaign for Homestar Finance by Now We Collide.
The three tongue-in-cheek TVCs follow Morris on her journey of self-discovery from “meditation” to “bookshop” and “out with the old”, with Morris being reassured knowing refinancing a home loan is taken care of by Homestar Finance.
The campaign challenges Aussies to rid themselves of “toxic financial energy” and switch to Homestar’s calming low rates.
“Beat the banks” is the second iteration of Homestar’s campaign that launched last year via Now We Collide.
ColCap (Homestar’s parent company) executive director and COO Ilias Pavlopoulos commented, “It’s been great to once again team up with the creative powerhouse that is Now We Collide and the charming and hilarious Julia Morris.
“Homestar Finance is a market disruptor and we wanted a campaign that reflected that. We offer some of the lowest home loan rates across the country, an easy application process, and the best personalised service – which is why we’ve been awarded by Canstar as an Outstanding Value Home Loan Provider in 2022. This campaign delivers this message in a unique and relatable way to all Aussies.”
The integrated campaign will be distributed via Free-To-Air TV, radio, digital and social media and owned assets, in addition to a sponsorship with Sky News.
Independent creative agency Now We Collide drove end-to-end strategy through to production.
“Banking and finance don’t always have to be boring which is why we developed a fun, creative platform that’s relatable to all Aussies. Julia Morris injects the right amount of humour and personality into the campaign,” said Now We Collide CEO, Keir Maher.
“It’s been an absolute pleasure to work alongside Homestar for the second year. Our businesses are alike in that we both like to challenge the status quo. We’re excited to have expanded our trusted partnership as Homestar’s business grows.”
