Instagram Bans Kanye

FILE - Kanye West answers questions during a service at Lakewood Church Sunday, Nov. 17, 2019, in Houston. West says he is no longer a Trump supporter. The rapper, who once praised President Donald Trump, tells Forbes in a story published Wednesday that he is “taking the red hat off” — a reference to Trump’s trademark red “Make America Great Again” cap. West also insisted that his weekend announcement that he’s running for President was not a stunt to drum up interest in an upcoming album. (AP Photo/Michael Wyke, File)

Kanye West has received a 24-hour ban from the social media platform after making a number of violations which were all connected to his recent break-up to Kim Kardashian.

“Yeezy” has been given a suspension by popular social media platform Instagram, due to his recent attacks on his former partner Kim Kardashian. Additionally, he made a racist attack on the host of The Daily Show Trevor Noah, which has also breached the platform’s terms & conditions.

Speaking to TMZ, a representative of Instagram parent company Meta confirmed that the artist’s recent posts have violated Instagram’s policies regarding hate speech, bulling and harassment. That resulted in his account being suspended for the next 24 hours, leaving him unable to create any posts, comment on other people’s posts or send or respond to direct messages.

The Meta representative went on to confirm that should Kanye West continue with this behaviour, then further sanctions may be imposed by the platform, such as a permanent ban. Right now, the ambiguous posts have been deleted from West’s account and only eight in total remain.

In other Instagram-related news, Britney Spears’ account has mysteriously gone of the map, with her fans left to wonder about why the famous pop idol would suddenly delete her account without prior notice.
