Cricut (NASDAQ: CRCT), the creative technology company that enables consumers to make professional-looking customised and personalised items, today announced its partnership with newly launched Australian children’s character, Emma Memma.

The latest incarnation of children’s entertainer, Emma Watkins, her new character aims to inspire the next generation through creativity, inclusivity, and friendship. These values are intrinsically shared and embraced by Cricut, making this partnership an authentic and truly special one for Cricut and Emma.

Cricut’s first activity will be to support Emma Memma’s inaugural meet and greet tour as Emma Memma is introduced for the first time to an intimate group of adoring fans across Australia for the first time in September and October.

Emma has been using Cricut machines and accessories over the years for both personal creative passions as well as to support various professional projects.

As Cricut continues to expand its reach and range in Australia, Emma will continue to utilise Cricut as a key resource in creating her sets, props, and other items to support her future endeavours.

In addition to delivering creative solutions, through its Cricut Design Space platform and various dedicated social media groups, Cricut and its members across Australia have formed a supportive and ever-growing community. It is here that creative ideas can be discussed and shared, and where encouragement, help, and a kind word is always available as Australians look for their next DIY project, customised gift, or creative pursuit.

It is a community that Emma Memma is looking to both tap into and emulate as she travels the country and the world sharing these values through her love of dance, sign language, and music, with visual communication as a primary focus.

Emma identified the key to the partnership as: “Creativity – that is at the very core of who I am and how the vision for Emma Memma will be brought to life. I was introduced to Cricut a couple of years ago and it has given me even more confidence to create sets, props and costumes that are intrinsic to Emma Memma’s visual communication content, so I am delighted that Cricut has partnered with me on this wonderful adventure.”

Fans will soon be able to make Emma Memma-based designs at home on their Cricut smart cutting machines, including Emma Memma and her new sidekick Elvin Melvin, butterflies, and wombats, as well as a range of other designs inspired by Emma Memma and her new shows and projects. These will shortly be made available on the Cricut Design Space app, a vast and ever-growing online library of images and designs available for Cricut members.

“We cannot be more excited to support Emma Memma and everything she stands for and will be delivering to children both in Australia and around the world. It fills us with great pride that Cricut will be a major force behind the scenes as Emma creates her tools and resources that will be delivering such important entertainment and education programs to children,” said Nicola Dow-Smith, ANZ Regional Director at Cricut.

“Creativity, inclusiveness, and friendship is part of our own DNA, and we look forward to working with Emma and supporting her wherever possible to bring this vision to life.”
