Burlington ads: Dark humour or just plain dark?

Sock company, Burlington, has released adverts that may not be dark humour as just plain dark.

According to AdWeek, the ads were created by French agency, Pain Surprises, and question whether or not the ads were made under a legitimate advertising contract.

The ads feature a grandson sad about his dying grandfather, but upon realising his grandfather is wearing Burlington socks, promptly mocks him and pulls out the plug.

The implication of incest is the theme of the second ad, with offensive language and a naked man in the third.
