MKR sudden death wins 1.664 million viewers

More than 1.66 million cooking fans tuned in to My Kitchen Rules last night to see the Victorian boys Harry and Christo booted out of the competition.

Melbourne viewers made up the largest chunk (481,000) of the 1.664 million viewers for My Kitchen Rules, according to OzTam’s preliminary metro ratings.

Tuesday evening’s second most watched program was The Block: Fans v Faves with 1.302 million viewers.

Nine’s The Big Bang Theory beat Seven’s Winners & Losers. The comedy was the third most watched show of the night with 1.185 million viewers compared to the drama’s 968,000 viewers.

Nine News (1.165 million) and Nine News at 6.30 (1.094 million) beat Seven News (1.074 million) and Seven News/Today Tonight (1.012 million).

Nine still came second place overall with a combined share of 29.7% with 23.1% of all free-to-air viewers for its main channel.

Seven won the night with a total 34.9% and 27.8% for its primary channel.

In third place was the ABC on 16.3% with 11.5% for ABC1. Ten came in at number four on a total 14.2% with 10.1% going to the network’s main channel.

In last place sat SBS on 4.8% with 4.1% going to SBS ONE.
