Beauty and the Geek wins the night for Seven

More than a million people tuned in to see the geek makeovers on Beauty and the Geek Australia last night, seeing Seven take out the most-watched program.

A total of 1.089 million viewers saw the four remaining geeks get spruced up – and saw Courtenay and Alex (pictured) eliminated.

News and current affairs showed dominated most of the top 10 most-watched free-to-air TV programs, according to figures from Oztam.

Nine News was the second most-watched show, with 1.076 million viewers, followed by Seven News, with 1.005 million and ABC News, with 897,000.

Seven’s Home and Away took fifth spot, with 894,000 fans tuning in, ahead of Nine’s A Current Affair (877,000) and Seven’s Today Tonight (854,000).

Completing the top 10 were How I Met Your Mother on Seven and Catalyst on ABC1.
