NCIS boosts Ten

NCIS lifted Ten to second place in the prime-time 8.30pm slot, coming second in the time-slot only to Dancing with the Stars.

NCIS was Tuesday evening’s 10th most watched show as 775,000 people tuned in, according to OzTam’s preliminary metro ratings.

The program lifted Ten’s total share of free-to-air viewers to 21% with 14.4% going to the network’s primary channel.

Other top 20 Ten programs included Ten Eyewitness News (621,000), NCIS: Los Angeles (566,000) and The Project (554,000).

Recipe to Riches sat outside the top 20 with an audience of 472,000.

Dancing with the Stars (1.137 million viewers) dominated from 7.30 to 9.30pm but Seven’s reality starlet failed to win most watched show of the night. Instead, the title went to Nine News (1.153 million).

Big Brother pulled in 865,000 viewers for Nine but viewers dropped off for Super Fun Night, which was also scheduled against DWTS.

Only 682,000 people tuned into the comedy featuring Rebel Wilson.

Seven won the night, taking a total 31.5% share of FTA viewers with 23.6% for the network’s main channel.

Nine sat on a combined 23.4% with 18.3% for the primary channel. ABC won a total 18.3% and ABC1 took 12.9%.

SBS took 5.8% in total with 4.7% going to SBS One.
