Blacklist's shadow still over Homeland

Newcomer The Blacklist continues to outpace Ten’s Homeland in live prime-time viewing, with Seven’s Blacklist wooing 1.468 million compared to just 402,000 for Homeland.

The Blacklist’s result is an increase on last Monday night’s 1.297 million metro viewers, according to OzTam’s preliminary ratings.

Homeland did not feature in the top 20 most viewed shows, receiving an additional 152,235 online video views between October 15 and 21.

It was The X Factor that won the night again, with 1.673 million Australian’s watching the competition narrow to just three solo acts.

The winning combination of The X Factor and The Blacklist saw Seven take home the lion’s share of free-to-air viewers – 33.9% in total and 27.3% for the main channel alone.

Nine’s Big Brother sat in 12th place with 914,000 viewers. Its comedic line-up had stronger results with The Big Bang Theory winning 1.018 million viewers and 1.012 for another episode.

2 Broke Girls pulled in 610,000 viewers. In the end Nine took a total 27.9% share with 21.5% going to its main channel.

The ABC had a strong night with seven top 20 programs and one top 10 – Australian Story (986,000).

Four Corners won 828,000 viewers, 7.30 took 902,000 and Media Watch won 735,000.

The strength of its line up saw ABC1 win 16.1% while the network took 20.9% of viewers in total.

The result put the ABC ahead of Ten which sat on a total 14.1% with 8.6% going to its main channel.

SBS sat on a total 3.3% with SBS One on 2.6%.
