Having had a long-standing relationship with the Melbourne Storm, Carsales has extended its connection with the sporting world, signing a new deal to secure the classifieds company’s logo in the prime front position of the Sunshine Coast Lightening’s netball bibs. Several fan activations, including during a tactical time-out at each home game, will also be rolled out across the season.

Both teams are part of the Storm Group family, so Storm captain Harry Grant and Lightning’s Australian Diamond representative Liz Watson were on board to announce the launch.

Adelaide Thunderbirds x Here For The Game

The latest in a long list of teams to partner with anti-gambling initiatives, Netball’s Adelaide Thunderbirds have signed on as the newest partner of the South Australian State Government’s Here For The Game campaign.

The Thunderbirds join Adelaide United FC, Adelaide Crows, Adelaide 36ers, and the Adelaide Giants to oppose sports betting sponsorships and highlight the risks it can pose to individuals and the community.

As part of the team’s season launch last week, a new iteration of the ‘Here For The Game’ campaign featuring Thunderbirds captain Hannah Petty alongside other Here For The Game ambassadors. The “Don’t Let Betting Spoil Sport” campaign juxtaposes players’ excitement and passion for their teams’ achievements with the common remorse gamblers can have over their negative betting outcomes.

“We are a club that has our fans at its heart, and we want them to know that all the best aspects of sport are our great game itself and being here with us in the moment, not what might be happening on a sports betting app,” said Adelaide Thunderbirds CEO, Bronwyn Klei.

Fitzroy Football Club x Young Henrys

Young Henrys Brewing and Fitzroy Football Club have joined forces to launch Fitzroy Draught, a collaborative beer now pouring in venues across Melbourne.

The clean and crisp lager is crafted for sinking a few cold ones with your mates before watching the mighty Roys on those chilly winter weekends.

Following on from their collaborative t-shirts that sold out in record time on first release last season, Young Henrys and Fitzroy Football Club were excited to bring Fitzroy Draught to the local pub and give the fans a taste of their epic partnership, now in its second year. Using the same artwork by illustrator Sindy Sinn, Fitzroy fans can cop an eyeful of the vibrant design splashed across the tap bank, now synonymous with both brands.

Each venue that pours the beer will receive an extra keg to sell and raise money for the club, carrying on the support for the Roys all season long.  With a shared dedication to champion the people, supporters, local pubs and community sports, Young Henrys and Fitzroy Football Club are a partnership made to last. Holding a special place in the hearts of supporters, players, and the local community, fans can now cheer on their team both on the field and at the pub by simply knocking back a cold one.

Fitzroy Draught is available now at Stone Hotel, Fitzroy Town Hall Hotel, The Rose Hotel, The Railway, The Builders Arms and Near and Far Bar, with more to come.
