Havas Revenue Up 3.5% Year-On-Year With Small APAC Growth

Havas Group has reported that its revenue climbed 3.5 per cent to €611 million (just over AU$1 billion) in the first quarter of this year, compared to Q1 2022 (lead image: Yannick Bollore, Havas Group CEO).

The company explained that it had seen very strong organic growth of 11.4 per cent “illustrating a share rebound in post-COVID activity.”

However, when split among the regions, Asia-Pacific managed to outpace Europe and North America, with 4 per cent, 1.4 per cent and -0.3 per cent growth, respectively. Havas said that India and China, in particular, showed a “significant” level of growth.

Latin America, meanwhile, atoned for the Group’s relatively lacklustre performance, growing by 27.3 per cent year on year.

The company added that it was enjoying good commercial success winning accounts for Santander in Brazil, BMW in China and Danone’s global work through the Havas Creative network and BETC.

Havas also acquired two new agencies, HRZN, a German agency specializing in social media and content, and Noise Digital, a media performance and data analytics agency based in Vancouver. The company said the acquisitions expanded its digital offering and its presence in Germany and Canada. It also entered a strategic partnership in the United States with Trinity Life Sciences, a life sciences solutions company. The partnership includes Havas Health & You taking a minority stake in Trinity.
