Thirst Creative announces Karl Ervine as Head of Digital and Emily Dupuche stepping in to lead the agency as General Manager.

These appointments, along with Thirst Creative’s recent brand refresh demonstrates the agency’s direction as they become a mid-sized creative and digital agency partner of choice for their growing folio of clients. In recent months the agency has delivered a body of work for purpose-driven organisations such as Eastern Health, FVREE – Free From Family Violence, and national law firm Barry Nilsson.

“We are always delighted to provide growth opportunities and promote within our team,” said founders Ben Harbinson and Angela Harbinson. “We know Emily Dupuche and Karl Ervine will propel the business forward and lead our team to new heights through authentic connection, empathy and a powerful vision in their respective areas within the business.”

“We are extremely lucky to have Karl leading our digital team. He’s a digital all-rounder having a background as a developer, producer and teacher and is someone who delivers for our clients and truly lives and breathes our values,” stated Harbinson.

Emily Dupuche will take the helm as general manager of Thirst Creative. She has been with Thirst for 2.5 years as our head of client services and in that time has demonstrated her capability, tenacity and prowess. An innovator and true people-person with over 25 years of experience in both client and agency side, she is an expert in building relationships and leading teams. Dupuche will guide Thirst’s ongoing journey in crafting impactful branding and integrated campaigns that deliver incredible results for our clients. “I can’t think of a better person to take on the lead at Thirst as I step aside,” said Harbinson.

Harbinson is stepping aside as managing director to focus full-time as CEO and Cofounder of the award-winning divorce tech platform The Separation Guide, a startup aiming to make separation and divorce simpler, more manageable and less stressful for the hundreds of thousands of Australians who experience it every year.

“For me, The Separation Guide brings together purpose and passion. It’s a chance to execute everything I’ve learnt from the last 16 years managing our agency where we are constantly solving complex problems for our clients with design thinking, smart user experience and technology, and it brings it together with something that can truly impact people’s lives for the better

“This platform is changing how people experience divorce. In the 3 years since launch, we are seeing the significant social impact of the work we are doing by altering the trajectory for couples experiencing this stressful life event. Angela and The Separation Guide are finalists for two nominations in the Women Leading Tech Awards on Friday 24 March in Sydney.

“It is a very exciting time for the business and The Separation Guide,” Harbinson claimed, “I am stoked about these appointments and know that both Emily and Karl will embrace these leading positions at Thirst, and continue to bring our culture of connection to life through their unique styles and true grace.”
