BBC Bosses Rouse On World Cup Commentator Over $1125 Designer Threads

According to reports, commentator Alex Scott (Main photo) was roused on by her BBC bosses for promoting a designer brand while simultaneously appearing on air.

The Sun has reported that Scott is a brand ambassador for the luxury label, Reiss. She seemingly decided to kill two birds with one stone and was spotted wearing an expensive Reiss outfit while commentating on the World Cup.

She posted a photo of herself on-air on Instagram and tagged the exxy outfit. She wore a $A505 orange blazer paired with matching pants for $305. She also donned a silk shirt that retails for $415.

The Daily Mail has reported this caused Scott to get a talking to by management because the BBC frowns upon staff combining commercial deals with their on-air commitments.

Scott has since untagged the brands but hasn’t taken down her original post.

The Sun also reported that a BBC spokesperson said: “We have spoken with Alex, who has removed the tag and will not be repeating this.”
