Linktree’s Year In Review Shows More Than 200 Million Monetised Clicks From Social Platforms

Linktree, the service that lets social users offer links to different sites and platforms from a central repository, averaged almost 20 million monetised clicks this year.

In fact, in October, the service garnered more than 21 million monetised clicks. “What’s interesting,” the company said in a release, “is these links aren’t exclusive to a particular category of user, rather we’re seeing a variety of Linkers from fitness trainers to farmers to life coaches making the most of the monetisation features Linktree has on offer.”

The service also grew to 30 million users around the world, with influencers, business professionals, gaming/esports, music, and creative representing the fastest growing categories.

“The creator economy is not only growing, but diversifying as well,” said the company.

“We can anticipate further growth as more people join in either a full-time, part-time, or on a side hustle basis. We can also anticipate more diversification of links as users look for new ways to expand their streams of revenue.”

The company said that the number of travel-related clicks jumped by 55 per cent, with Airbnb representing the most popular travel site. In-person entertainment sites saw a 75 per cent uplift in clicks with Eventbrite being the most popular destination.

Dining reservation sites OpenTable, Resy, and Seven Rooms saw a 41 per cent uplift in clicks.

Gaming and esports links increased by six per cent, and popular games such as Riot Games’ Valorant and Electronic Arts’ FIFA also joined Linktree this year.

TikTok and BeReal saw the highest growing in monthly link creations, 117 per cent and a staggering 1,232 per cent, respectively. Instagram, LinkedIn, and Pinterest saw smaller increases — 66 per cent, 38 per cent, and 26 per cent, respectively.
