The Marketing Academy Australia Celebrates Scholarship Graduates

The Marketing Academy Australia celebrated the latest cohort of graduates from its Scholarship program last night and hailed the future leaders of the Australia’s marketing industry.

In a fashion show-themed event at The Beresford Hotel in Sydney’s Surry Hills, graduates strutted their stuff on a catwalk and discussed what they had learnt from their one-on-one mentors on the program.

The Scholarship program pairs 30 emerging marketing leaders up with more experienced members of the industry to help impart knowledge and guide their careers over the course of nine months. The group also take part in several residential boot camps to help build rapport and network.

“Our future is in the hands of these 30 wonderful humans, and we should all feel proud that the collective wisdom and knowledge shared by the people involved in The Marketing Academy has made a profound difference to the way they will lead. This year they’ve enjoyed 240 Mentoring sessions, 180 Coaching sessions attended three boot camps and multiple Virtual Campus lectures,” said Sherilyn Shackell, founder and CEO of The Marketing Academy.

“They’ve learned, laughed and cried becoming stronger humans and more impactful leaders along the way. They’ve supported each other – cheering on the successes, encouraging when there are doubts, lifting when things go wrong and forging bonds that will last a lifetime. They’re passionate about making an impact, creating change, raising the voices of those who can’t be heard, championing causes that don’t have the resources or influence that our industry has in spades. And they are exceptional leaders – inspiring and empowering others to be better, to do more, to thrive. They are together in their ambitions, because they know we are all ‘better together’. Only through real relationships can we grow businesses, inspire movements, unite people, influence lives and create meaningful experiences everywhere. Together, this cohort will lead meaningful change in the world. And tonight they have shared some of their knowledge in a unique and fabulous way.”
