Project Host Steals The Show & Reveals She’s Pregnant Live On-Air

The Project’s hot topics got eclipsed last night with some absolutely joyful baby news.

Regular co-host Rachel Corbett announced that she is having a baby.  She said: “I can no longer hold it in as the wardrobe department is sick of trying to hide it,”

“I’m pregnant.”

She then threw her hands in the air to reveal her pregnant belly.

Corbett went on to explain that she was having her baby solo and said: “I’m doing it solo, which is great for me, but you find when you tell people it’s hilarious because they think it’s a choice of last resort,” Corbett continued.

“Then you have to spend the next 30 minutes explaining you’re not crying yourself to sleep at night. But for me, it’s the perfect decision.

“It feels like exactly the right thing to do, and I’m really excited.”

Corbett’s hosts were quick to congratulate her. Carrie Bickmore was smiling from ear to ear, and Waleed Aly and Peter Hellier offered their congratulations.

It was a super sweet moment and a reminder of why The Project is so wholesome. All the co-hosts seem to care about each other, making such a difference.

The best kind of television always feels authentic.
