BBC Accidentally Labels New British PM A “C@nt” & “Twat” During Live Broadcast

In refreshing news, it appears the UK’s political system is more of a basket case than our own with the country having to suffer three different prime ministers in just the last two months.

Latest to reside at Downing Street is Rishi Sunak (lead image), the 42-year-old former chancellor who’s married to billionaire, Akshata Murty.

Yesterday, Sunak was officially sworn in as the UK’s latest PM by newly minted King Charles III.

Reporting on the news, a BBC journalist was stationed out the front of Downing Street and revealed the findings of a Savanta ComRes poll of how voters viewed Sunak in just one word.

A word cloud then flashed up on the screen revealing the answers. Among the predictable labels were capable, rich and corrupt, while eagle-eyed viewers also spotted the rather unfortunate twat and cunt.

Other less flattering labels included boring, slimy, idiot, backstabbing and liar.

Watch the report below:

Meanwhile in further Sunak/journalist blunders, Sky News’ political editor Beth Rigby appeared to have forgotten the Queen had died.

Rigby was reporting on Sunak driving to visit Buckingham Palace for his official swearing in with King Charles when she mixed up her monarchs.

Rigby reported: “Rishi Sunak is about to become the Prime Minister. He’s just about to have his audience with the Queen.” The journalist didn’t correct the error. Check it out below:

Meanwhile, the lecterns used by various British PMs has come under the microscope after it was revealed every new British PM gets their very own purpose-built number to deliver speeches to the journalist throng waiting outside Number 10.

According to reports in the UK’s The Telegraph, the lecterns are always made of wood with a strong metal base to stop them blowing over in the wind. But what’s causing all the kerfuffle is they cost as much as £4,000 ($A7200) to construct and are funded by the British taxpayer.

Apparently, they’re designed to look more masculine or feminine depending on the gender of each specific PM.

Check some of them out below:

Before each PM delivers their respective news to journalists, the lectern is brought into the street by a staffer at Number 10 called Tobias Gough.

Gough has even attracted his very own following for his work, with female admirers calling him “sexy lectern man” and “hot lectern man”. Check him out below:
