Australia Post and creative innovation agency Hogarth have partnered to launch a series of short-form documentaries highlighting Australia Post team members who have paved their own way.

Set in urban and regional communities across the country, ‘Journeys’ celebrates these individuals’ contributions to their communities and the broader Australia Post team.

The series comprises five episodes which feature a variety of Australia Post team members, including Gary Williams, a former featherweight boxing champion with over 50 years of experience working as a postie and Kylie Smith, a First Nations Gomeroi woman who relocated to Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory to run Australia’s most remote Post Office.

Australia Post collaborated with Hogarth to deliver the strategic creative concept and production. The team worked with up-and-coming documentarist Adam Finney, whose work has been locally awarded for its honest but optimistic portraits, particularly of First Nation Australians.

The content series is being launched online and is designed for a multi-platform rollout, including a partnership with SBS.

The first episode focuses on a father and son living and working in Perth. Michael lives with a disability, including hearing loss. When Michael was old enough to get a job, Greg knew having his son work alongside him could be a fantastic opportunity, not only for Michael but also for his team and the broader Australia Post business.

From this base, we have built the trust to respond strategically to more diverse briefs,” he said.
