Tony Armstrong Uses Chaotic Socceroo’s Victory To Campaign For Logies Win

ABC Golden Boy, Tony Armstrong is trying to turn lemons into lemonade and is leveraging his viral reporting moment for Logie votes.

Armstrong went viral when he was reporting for the ABC and showed incredible joy and excitement over Socceroo’s qualifying for the 2022 World Cup.

Armstrong got caught up in the crowds’ excitement and was jumping and screaming along with the rest of the fans.

He also charmingly screamed out, “Not my scarf, that’s my Mums!” When an excited fan tried to take it off him during the fanfare.

It was a fabulous live on-air moment that showed Armstrong’s love for the game and ability to really just enjoy a great moment. It was also just excellent heartwarming television.

Armstrong then took to Twitter to confirm he secured his Mum’s scarf and also plugged his upcoming Logie’s nomination – honestly, what a clever Roxy Jacenko worthy PR move.

Armstrong is nominated for The Gold Logie and is up against everyone from Nine’s Karl Stefanovic to 10’s Julia Morris.

Considering The Logies are just around the corner! You’ve got to do what you can to get those last-minute votes.
