Tuesday TV Ratings: Home & Away Wins The Night In Entertainment

Seven’s Home and Away came first in entertainment, snagging 534,000 viewers – proving that we can’t get enough of drama with a view!

Seven News hit 909,000 viewers while Nine News had 815,000.  Nine’s A Current Affair had 639,000 viewers – honestly, Tracey Grimshaw is a national treasure!  

As per OzTAM’s metro numbers, second in entertainment was 10’s, Dog House paw-forming very well with 521,000 viewers. Get it? paw-forming, instead of performing. Okay, I promise I’ll stop. 

Third in entertainment was Nine’s Parental Guidance that earned, 478,000 – between kids and puppies, it was the battle of the cute last night! 

Also on 10 was The Project that snagged 394,000 viewers – which is where I get all my work wardrobe inspiration from, and I suggest everyone else does too!  Meanwhile, 10’s Cheap Seats bought in 358,000. 

For Seven, The Chase hit 457,000, and Big Brother VIP snagged 302,000 –  is it just me or does the premise of Big Brother not seem so outlandish now, we’ve all survived lockdowns? 

On Nine, Hot Seat scored 362,000 viewers and Tipping point snagged 272,000. 

Finally, ABC had a very solid night with ABC News, netting 611,000 viewers, 7.30 nabbing, 474,000  and Anh’s Brush With Fame grabbing 337,000 viewers – Anh Do is also a national treasure, also we need Tracey Grimshaw on this show immediately!   

Out on top was the Nine Network with 28.1 per cent. Seven Network was just behind with 26.9 per cent of the daily share, followed closely by the 10 Network with 20.0  per cent. Next was ABC Network with 15.8 per cent of the share, while the SBS had 9.1 per cent. 

Looking now to OzTAM’s total tv report for Tuesday, November 9, the top-performing program was Seven News with a total audience of 1,459,000 viewers (metro: 918,000 regional: 505,000, BVOD: 31,000).

Next was the Nine News, with a total audience of 1,184,000 viewers (metro: 851,000 regional: 303,000, BVOD: 29,000), followed by Home And Away at 1,085,000 (metro: 548,000, regional: 355,000, BVOD: 144,000).

And, once again, the show with the highest lift on overnight was Love Island Australia at 133 per cent, bringing it to a total audience of 585,000 (metro: 185,000, regional: 66,000, BVOD: 264,000)
