Commercial Radio Australia has announced that the live Australian Commercial Radio Awards event (ACRAs), to recognise work across 2020 and 2021, will not proceed as planned on 13 February 2022.

The award ceremony is often held in sunny Queensland and features all your radio favourites from Amanda Keller to Erin Molan. Basically, it’s a night to celebrate the best and loudest voices on the radio.

However, this year instead the winners of the ACRAs will instead be announced in December and will be posted to the event website www.acras.com.au.

The decision was made by the CRA Board at its meeting on 28 October.  The Board took into consideration the impact of possible state lockdowns and, subsequently, the potential absence of many industry nominees and stakeholders.

Basically, it’s not easy planning an event as restrictions are constantly shifting and changing, luckily there is always next year!
