“Morons Buying Every Roll!” Woolies Note Roasting Grocery Hoarders Goes Viral
[B&T warns this article contains language that could be offensive to some readers.] A note, purporting to be from Woolworths’ management, has gone viral after appearing in a Queensland store labelling hoarders as “fuckwits”, “bogans” and “morons”.
An image of the note, creatively titled “Listen up shitheads”, was posted to social media site Reddit and was reportedly taken in the toilet paper aisle of a Woolworths on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. The State is currently in a three-day lockdown following its latest COVID outbreak.
It’s unclear who posted the note, but it even includes the logos of ALDI, Coles and Woolworths at the bottom.
You can read the note in full below, although B&T warns it is a bit sweary at times:
In reports on News.com.au, Woolworths’ management denied that the note was the work of an employee and was most likely placed, and then photographed, by an angry prankster.
And, whoever did place the note, it seems to have struck a chord with other Aussies suffering shortages on the shelves of their local grocery stores.
Check out some of the feedback below:
This is what it looks like to walk through a Woolworths in Sydney right now following Gladys telling everyone “not to panic buy” in her 2pm presser… Looks like panic buying to me.
