CHEER Cheese – which was rebranded earlier this year – has officially begun its rollout.

The brand, which is owned by Saputo Dairy, changed its name from the original Coon to create “a culture of acceptance, inclusion and respect”.

Cam Bruce, commercial director, Saputo Dairy Australia says, “We are excited to confirm that shoppers can now purchase CHEER Cheese from the dairy aisle of their local supermarket or independent grocery store nationwide.”

“CHEER is the same great cheese that millions of Australians have grown up with and enjoyed for generations, and we look forward to bringing that little bit of happiness to everyone’s day, whether it’s a sliced snack, part of the family dinner or a melty, midnight toastie.”

According to the brand, CHEER Cheese was announced as the new name of Australia’s much-loved cheese in January 2021,  “following Saputo’s careful and diligent review to honour the brand-affinity felt by our consumers while aligning with current attitudes and perspectives”.
