Monday TV Wrap: Four Corners QAnon Ep Nets 722,000

After it was initially delayed, a Four Corners episode on QAnon, and a link between the conspiracy and PM Scott Morrison, aired last night.

The ep – which had 722,000 viewers, as per OzTAM’s metro data – interviewed the family of Australian QAnon followed Tim Stewart. Stewart is a family friend of Morrison, who has publically denounced the program.

On Friday, Morrison said, “I find it deeply offensive that there would be any suggestion that I would have any involvement or support for such a dangerous organisation. I clearly do not.”

“It is also disappointing that Four Corners would seek to cast this aspersion not just against me but by members of my own family. I just think that is really poor form.”

Slightly less politically fraught was Seven News, which won the night with 1,293,000 viewers and Nine News, coming second with 1,055,000 viewers.

Four Corners was just beaten by A Current Affair, which had 727,000 viewers.

Coming in afterwards was a slew of other ABC programming. ABC News had 718,000 viewers, 7.20 had 682,000 and Media Watch had 681,000.

Australian Story had 651,000 viewers, but was beaten by the boardroom portion of Nine’s Celebrity Apprentice, which peaked at 679,000 viewers. The rest of the episode peaked at 621,000.

10’s Have You Been Paying Attention? continued to perform well with 650,000 viewers, though it had a significant decrease from last week’s ep, which had 709,000 viewers.

Also on 10 was MasterChef with 579,000 viewers and The Project with 530,000.

On Seven, Home and Away had 617,000 viewers, as did the AFL, while Big Brother had 568,000 viewers and the footy’s pre-match coverage had 460,000.

Finally, for Nine, Hot Seat scored 471,000 viewers.

The Seven Network won the night overall with 27.2 per cent of the daily share, followed by the Nine Network with 25.6 per cent.  Network 10 had 21.0 per cent, while he ABC Network came in fourth with 19.2 per cent. The SBS Network had seven per cent.
