Wednesday TV Wrap: Travel Guides Ousts Hard Quiz In Entertainment War

Nine’s Travel Guides, which explored Mexico, beat ABC’s Hard Quiz for top entertainment of the night.

According to OzTAM’s metro data, Travel Guides had 662,000 viewers to Hard Quiz’s 661,000 viewers. Last week, the two programs tied for average viewership, and have been performing well since their launches.

Up on top was Seven News with 1,047,000 viewers, followed by Nine News which had a flat 1,000,000.

ABC News beat A Current Affair with 716,000 viewers to 705,000 viewers.

It was a good night for Seven’s Big Brother too, as it scored 602,000 viewers (up 44,000 from the same time last week), putting at a tie with Home and Away. There was also The Chase with 598,000 viewers.

Sean Micallef’s Mad As Hell had 581,000 viewers, building on last week’s premiere by 9,000.

Also on the ABC was 7.30, doing well at 626,000 viewers, while You Can’t Ask That had 365,000.

Nine’s Hot Seat had 524,000 viewers while Doctor Doctor had 299,000.

For 10, the top performer was MasterChef with 547,000 viewers, followed by The Project with 487,000 and 10 News First with 388,000.

Seven (all channels) won the night with 29.2 per cent of the daily share, followed by Nine (all channels) with 26.2 per cent.

Network 10 was next with 18.9 per cent, followed by the ABC TV Network with 17.5 per cent. The SBS Network had 8.1 per cent.
