34% Of Aussies Who Watch Reality TV Lie About It

According to a study by Reviews.org, a product testing site, Australians are avid watchers of reality TV, but not everyone is honest about their viewing habits.

Reviews surveyed 1,000 Australians about their reality TV dating show viewership.

Of the 66 per cent of Australians who watch reality TV dating shows, 34 per cent lie to their friends, family or partners.

74 per cent of that group say they lie because they feel ashamed, while 27 per cent said they secretly watched reality TV, and hid it from others.

According to the Australians who watched reality TV shows, the most popular was Married At First Sight Australia, watched by 83 per cent, followed by The Bachelor Australia, watched by 51 per cent.

Other honourable mentions included The Bachelorette, watched by 39 per cent and Love Island Australia, watched by 33 per cent.
