In a move that strengthens its research offering, purpose-driven integrated communications agency Think HQ has brought its research function in-house and appointed Dr Pauline Ho (pictured right) to lead development of its growing research operation.

Dr Pauline Ho has joined Think HQ as Strategy and Insights Manager. She is an experienced research and evaluation specialist who has spent the past decade working on large-scale national projects that impact social policy in the education and health sectors.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to have a researcher of Pauline’s calibre join us. Her approach is an ideal fit for our mission to create positive human outcomes through creating inclusive campaigns that represent and reflect every member of our multicultural society,” Think HQ Founder and Managing Director Jen Sharpe (pictured left) said.

“Pauline is passionate about making high-quality research available to everyone and believes the most effective work happens when practitioners, researchers and governments work together to understand and solve challenging social problems.”

“Successful campaigns depend on understanding the audience. Pauline will help us do that even better, with research working in close quarters with our in-house teams.”

Dr Ho said she was excited to marry her experience in “hard” research with the people-centric practice of Think HQ.

“Our goal is to change social outcomes, and that’s not easy. We can’t just go out and get numbers. The integrity of the work is important, and our methodologies ensure a rigorous process, but our efforts must also be personal, conversational, nuanced and honest,” Dr Ho said.

Think HQ’s research practice has been internationally certified, complying with ISO 20252:2019 Market, Opinion and Social Research.
