Video Streaming App Creates Stunning QR Code In The Sky Using 1,500 Drones

Despite having been around for years, QR codes are back in fashion, with many brands turning to the technology amid the pandemic.

The current popularity of the technology was exemplified in Shanghai earlier this month, as video streaming app Bilibili launched a giant QR code into the sky using illuminated drones.

The QR code was part of a 1,500 drone light show, which celebrated the first anniversary of the China release of the Japanese role-playing game Princess Connect! Re:Dive.

Users could scan the QR code (from the sky) and be taken to a download page for the game.

You can check out a video of the stunt here.
