Wednesday TV Wrap: Lego Masters Top Performing Entertainment Third Night In A Row Despite Viewer Drop

Lego Masters and MasterChef both again experienced a nightly drop-off, though at less extreme rates than on Tuesday.

While Lego Masters dropped by 16,000 from Tuesday night to reach 766,000 viewers, it was again the top-performing entertainment show for the third night in a row since its premiere. Last night’s episode was a ‘night before Christmas’ spectacular which featured, of course, Hamish Blake in a life-size snow globe.

MasterChef fared slightly less well, dropping 33,000 viewers to 549,000 in the series’ first mystery box challenge.

Seven News came out on top with 947,000 viewers, as per OzTAM’s metro data, followed by Nine News at 909,000.

Hard Quiz continued its strong performance but was beaten by A Current Affair. The programs had 653,000 and 701,000 respectively.

Next was ABC News which had 640,000 viewers.

The rest of the ABC’s night had Fisk continuing to perform consistently well at 542,000 viewers, followed by 7.30 at 541,000 and The Weekly With Charlie Pickering at 530,000.

For Seven, Home and Away had 573,000 viewers, followed by The Chase with 480,000 and a double whammy of Highway Patrol where episode one had 378,000 viewers and episode two had 361,000.

At 10, The Project had 436,000 viewers while 10 News First had 343,000 viewers.

Finally, for Nine, Hot Seat had 447,000 viewers.

The Nine Network won the night overall with 29 per cent of the daily share, followed by the Seven Network with 24 per cent and Network 10 with 21 per cent.

The ABC Network had 18 per cent, and the SBS Network had seven per cent.
